The Beacon support centre is the first step to help people experiencing homelessness to move off the streets for good. Our centre provides a safe and inviting space – and a warm welcome – for those without a home. Anyone in need of a hot meal, shower, and set of clean clothing can come in and see us Monday to Thursday. No appointment needed. They are able to offer crisis support and referrals to other services for our friends.
We also provide more than just the necessities. Our wonderful team offers one-on-one support to help people along their journey to a new, independent life. We host various activities, like creative workshops, recovery groups and prayer sessions – often referring to other organisations. We provide a health and wellbeing suite with an NHS nurse and health professionals to give medical care. Our team provides immediate support with referrals to emergency accommodation and addiction services. And we make introductions to employers, recovery groups, mental health programmes, and debt intervention services.
