The Digital Skills session will run every Tuesday afternoon at our support centre on Bloom Street, volunteers will need to be available from 1pm until 2:45pm.

The digital skills session is an important part of the week where our service users can get access to the internet, learn digital skills and do personal admin tasks such as updating their universal credit account. This encourages independence in our service users and teaches them key life skills and even some employability skills.

Volunteers will be working in a team of 3 with a group of up to 6 guests, helping them with a range of IT skills including: setting up email, helping write CV's, accessing Universal Credit Journal, browsing the internet, saving documents, helping people create Manchester Move Accounts etc.

Volunteers will need to have a good level of computer knowledge, experience of working with vulnerable individuals and experience of working or volunteering in a similar group setting is an advantage.
