No-one should be on the streets, especially at winter which is a particularly life threatening and challenging time of year for anyone sleeping rough in our City. It’s also sadly, our busiest time. Please help those experiencing homelessness in Manchester by supporting our Winter Appeal.

Our frontline teams prioritise getting people into temporary accommodation, off the cold, wet and windy streets. We then work hard to get them into more permanent accommodation helping on their journey off the streets. Sadly there are simply not enough rooms and beds for everyone who needs one meaning many people are forced to live on the streets in need of immediate care and support.

Throughout the winter we will provide a warm and welcoming space at our Beacon Support Centre offering all the things we take for granted; a warm, safe place, food, showers, clothing and also vitally opening the door to healthcare and one to one support thanks to our support workers, nurse and resettlement tenancy team. Empowering people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping in Manchester to leave life on the streets behind. You can read about Winter's harsh effects on those without a home here.

At Winter our priorities are keeping people fed, warm, dry and as safe as possible at our Support Centre. Then our Support and Resettlement teams begin to look at accommodation, employment or other ways to improve their circumstances and hope for the future. Please help those experiencing homelessness in Manchester by supporting our Urban Harvest Appeal this autumn.
