Become a Trustee Being a Trustee is one of the most rewarding roles you can undertake. Quite apart from the fact you are involved in helping some of the most marginalised people in our society, you have the pleasure of using your experience and skills to work in a team of like minded people for a cause that matters to you. We remain true to our Christian faith; the Board of Trustees and Leadership team are all active Christians. Whilst our staff and volunteers may not be Christians, we share the same values and ideals: that we will love people for who they are, no matter what their backgrounds, and that we empower them to overcome the barriers and issues they face in being homeless. Find out all about being a trustee Whats involved? As a Trustee, you consider the strategic direction of the charity, and ensure the charity has the resources it needs to carry out its charitable objectives. The day to day responsibilities sit with the CEO. In partnership with the leadership team, you will be responsible for the future direction of the charity and for helping with decisions the CEO and leadership team bring to you. We meet every six to eight weeks to consider strategic direction, governance, financial control and to identify anyissues which need further exploration. We alternate between Monday evening meetings on Zoom and in person meetings at the charity’s offices in Manchester on a Saturday morning. The Trustees offer their advice and guidance to the CEO not only at the meeting, but on email when required. Interested? If you're passionate about creating real, positive change, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to us at [email protected] to submit your application. We’ll invite you for a Board meeting where you will meet the other Board members, experience the work we do, and if you decide to apply, the Board will vote on your election at the next meeting. The successful candidate will have an induction with the CEO and time with the charity to see first hand what we do. Manage Cookie Preferences
